Why Are My Video Views Music Plays and Likes Low?
I have been asked, "Why are your video views, subscribers and likes low on youtube and facebook? Your music is much better than a lot of what is out there."
I've decided to share what I know about the number count in the music industry and on social media.
The short answer is my REAL views are not low at all.
We live in a fake world right now where the mental programming says that if you have 1 million or 100 million likes, views or plays means your music is popular and what people want to hear. In some cases this is true but not always.
A well known artist has come out and told the truth about fake numbers.

The truth is I could do the same and have a million views by paying for them but I don’t. But those in the industry know the public are motivated if an artist has millions of views, followers, likes etc.
On one of my videos it had over 34,000 plays in a short space of time. Out of the blue youtube took it down.
There were no copyright infringements, no names mentioned, no curse words and no legitimate reason it should be removed when you considered what is already on youtube. I guess they didn’t like the truth I shared.

Some time ago I uploaded a video to youtube. It had 50 views. The next day when I looked at the same video it only had 27 views. Somehow 23 views were removed from the video. This has happened a number of times with my videos on youtube.
I have noticed that some people who share real knowledge have hardly any subscribers or video views… so it is made to look. In reality they probably have thousands or millions of views and subscribers but those who are in control don’t want most positive true music popular. These companies have the power to alter the number count of who they choose.

As for Facebook, at one point I had 2 Facebook accounts. When viewing my music page it would show no comments and no likes on one of my posts. But just seconds later when I logged into the other account there were comments and likes for that post. I’d go back to the other account and no comments or likes were visible on that same post. They know that if people do not see likes or comments it is going to discourage most viewers and content providers. I post what I want regardless because I know there are people who are listening, reading, agreeing or learning from my music and posts even if the “numbers” and “likes” would say otherwise.
I was contacted by a person who said they tried to give a thumbs up on one of my videos on youtube but youtube would not allow the thumbs up to be added and counted.
I remember seeing a video by one of the makers of the documentary Out Of Shadows record his live twitter likes and re-tweets. He showed that every time someone liked his tweet twitter removed the likes and reversed them to a number that the tweet "like" count could not go higher than.
Now you know all this information, know that my video views, music plays and likes are highly likely to be far higher than you see on your screen. I'm not in music for the ego boost. I'm just here to give the right people something different to listen to that they can relate to. If I made a listener feel good by what they heard from me then I am doing my purpose correctly.
As I said before, the powers that be know that the majority of the public are motivated by high numbers. If you stay ignorant they stay in control. They limit specific people who share real truth or they take down their page completely when they start to get much popular.

The music industry has changed dramatically over the years and some musicians have to look elsewhere to gain an income.

So from now on when you listen to a song by someone ask yourself, were the words something you enjoyed or you actually liked or agree with? Go by what you prefer and not follow the crowd, and like it just because of the number of views. Those views could be thousands/millions of fake paid for views. Never be discouraged by low numbers again.
As for the talented artists who's numbers are being reduced by these companies, keep making good music. If you give up the world will have nothing alternative to listen to. When the bubble bursts and the world wants to hear real music again, your music will be right there ready for them to listen to.
